Since its introduction in 2022, Turtle Technology's ultra-high-specificity SNUPPTM polymerase and the third-generation ARMS solution have garnered widespread attention due to their unique advantages. The SNUPPTM enzyme precisely identifies single-base mismatches between the 3' end of the primer and the template, avoiding non-specific amplification. While enhancing the detection limit for low-abundance mutations, it also establishes a solid technical foundation for high-precision testing, including ARMS, SNP detection, gene editing, and more.

As commonly known, conventional enzyme reagents require freezing for preservation. During long-distance transportation, these enzymes are susceptible to temperature fluctuations, leading to decreased enzymatic activity. Additionally, multiple freeze-thaw cycles can also result in a decline in enzyme activity. To address this pain point and improve the environmental adaptability of polymerase products, Turtle Technology introduces a more stable lyophilized version.

Specifically, the lyophilized version of the SNUPPTM polymerase offers the following significant advantages:

Firstly, the mature lyophilization technology imparts strong environmental adaptability to the enzyme. The lyophilized enzyme has a shelf life of up to two years at room temperature, with a wide temperature range adaptation. Whether in the frozen landscapes of Northern Europe or the scorching heat of Southeast Asia, its stability is guaranteed. This ensures that the product truly achieves cross-national and cross-continental transportation.

Secondly, there is a substantial increase in operational convenience. Lyophilized products can be directly dissolved for use, eliminating complex thawing steps and simplifying experimental operations. Moreover, a small vial of the sample can support multiple reactions, eliminating the need for large-scale storage and providing extremely cost-effective solutions. Feedback from a university user indicates that this lyophilized polymerase significantly streamlines experimental procedures, allowing researchers to focus more on optimizing their experiments.

Finally, the flexibility of test kit design is enhanced. Mature lyophilization processes make long-term storage of the enzyme possible, providing customers with a more flexible reagent formulation plan, facilitating the development and iterative optimization of kit products. A researcher from an IVD company mentioned that previously, each new batch of kits required the purchase of polymerase. Now, they can pre-stock lyophilized enzyme, making it convenient and significantly improving research and development efficiency.

It is foreseeable that the launch of the lyophilized SNUPPTM polymerase will greatly promote the application of ultra-high-specificity polymerases in various fields, including but not limited to the following top ten applications.
